Working within a UK Accreditation Service (UKAS) compliant laboratory environment, the purpose of this role is to calibrate,
verify and adjust electronic test and measuring equipment to a given engineering specification. The role also requires traceability of the calibration using defined procedures and IT systems, and complies with legislative and organisational standards.
Electronic calibration includes:
The equipment to be calibrated includes avionic, navigation and communication equipment, for aircraft, land, and marine use. Plus medical monitoring equipment for military personal, temperature devices for military weapon systems, fibre optic power meters and sources.

Your suitability for the role will be assessed using the Success Profile elements that have been selected. Each element will be scored accordingly, and the successful candidate will be appointed on merit.

Interview
If your application is successful, you will be invited to interview; the interview will last approximately 1 hour.
It will be based on the Application Criteria and Role responsibilities stated previously.
Interviews are planned for week commencing: 17 July 2023. A minimum of 5 full working days’ notice will be provided for interviews. We endeavour to stick to these dates, but these are subject to change around business needs.
All successful candidates who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a six-month probation period effective from the employment start date.
