Ternary is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to position the best multi-cloud FinOps platform to help engineers, finance, and business leaders maximize the business value of the cloud. Join us as we take Cloud FinOps to the next level.As a BDR at Ternary, you will conduct in-depth research into prospective partner organizations and key decision-makers across The Americas and EMEA. Then, you will proactively engage them in discussions about how Ternary’s platform can help them overcome some of their biggest challenges. Reporting directly to our Head of Channel and Partnerships, you will be responsible for driving partner acquisition and expanding our market share. This is a critical role at a fast-growing startup, and you will have the opportunity to grow into a variety of revenue team roles as we continue to scale.If you are early in your SaaS sales career and have demonstrated the drive, grit, and determination to achieve your goals, our development program will provide you with the perfect opportunity to progress your career quickly.We:• Are a passionate team devoted to building the platform that would have best helped us (engineers, finance, leadership) with Cloud FinOps in our past positions.• Have a founding team with deep experience - many of our team members were early employees for the legacy products in the FinOps space and have seen this movie before.• Have Enterprise and MSP Partners operating at scale.• Have plenty of runway to succeed with our recent Series A funding.You:• Have at least 1-2 years of successful SaaS sales experience as a BDR.• Have a startup mentality and passion for diving in wherever it is needed.• Are a curious self-starter, comfortable operating with limited supervision, and have strong problem-solving skills.• Ability to quickly take direction, be coached, and be mentored.• Prior success interacting with prospects virtually and in-person.• Experience overcoming obstacles associated with prospecting.• Confident presence and interpersonal skills.• Willingness to travel as needed.• Demonstrable track record of achievement and excellence in the BDR role.• Experience and proficiency in high-pressure, competitive situations.• Ability to comprehend technical topics and translate them into easy-to-understand, concise explanations.• Showcase creative, considered approaches to messaging and communication that are tailored to the audience and effectively capture their attention.Responsibilities:• Diligently research target accounts assigned to you and keep up with new announcements, annual reports, press releases, and other publicly available information.• Map out the organization structure and key influencers within each target account.• Clearly and succinctly describe the benefits of Ternary for channel prospects (MSPs, SIs. VARs etc.)• Craft well-researched, creative outreach campaigns tailored to your research findings.• Professionally and persistently follow up via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other means identified from the research.• Conduct initial introductory and discovery discussions to help qualify potential opportunities.• Book qualified meetings and provide the team with detailed, well-formatted handover notes from initial discussions.• Consistently meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators and contribute to the team's continued growth.• Understand industry trends and show dedication to continuous learning.• Provide feedback to peers and internal teams to help develop and improve marketing materials and messaging.• Execute sequences in Apollo and maintain up-to-date information in Hubspot & Apollo.The estimated base salary for this role ranges from $65,000-$85,000, along with an associated commission and equity component. This range is merely an estimate, and the width of the range reflects a willingness to consider candidates with broad prior seniority.
