Our next Purchasing Coordinator, General Merchandise and Brands will be a key communication point between the suppliers, Marketing, Human Resources, and business units across the enterprise. This individual will be responsible for communication and support of sourcing, procurement, logistics, and order fulfillment of printed assets, general merchandise, and accessories designed to market our business, brands, and dispensary locations. The Purchasing Coordinator will report to the Regional Procurement Manager.


Where you'll be planted:

This role is heavily remote, with occasional meetings in one of our Northeast locations. The ideal candidate for this role will live in a commutable distance to our King of Prussia location.



To be blunt, this role will be about:
  • Researching and sourcing all requests within budget, timeline, and desired specifications.
  • Placing and communicating purchase orders with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers.
  • Maintaining orders, including adjustments, shifts in ETAs, and cost/price updates.
  • Tracking and tracing purchase orders to offices, retail locations, and storage facilities.
  • Maintaining order records for short shipments, over shipments, and price adjustments for payment.
  • Collaborating with finance to correct inventory and order exceptions or discrepancies.
  • Maintaining and ordering and inventory files.
  • Tracking inventory of standard items and suggest reorder points.
  • Analyzing and reporting on spending by department, business unit, and campaign.
  • Managing the onboarding process for new vendors.
  • Assisting in negotiating pricing and credit terms.
  • Coordinating art images and approvals between vendors and the marketing department.
  • Organizing and maintaining product offering portfolios, including SKUs, artwork, and brands (e.g., TerrAscend, Kind Tree, Ilera, Valhalla, Apothecarium Dispensary).
  • Following supply calendars and communicate with retail, trade, HR, and marketing departments to maintain and enforce timelines.
  • Managing and combine purchases of multiple business units to maximize buying power and cost savings.
  • Operating within company standards, KPIs, and policies to support a goal-oriented environment.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.


What we're high on...We value diverse skillsets, talents, and experiences. To be successful in this role we know you’ll need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a marketing and retail environment.
  • 2-3 years of experience in buying/procurement and sourcing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working within a data-driven environment.
  • 2 years of proven ability to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI), Managing by Objectives (MBOs), or Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
  • Working knowledge of procurement practices.
  • Advanced Excel skills (MANDATORY).
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in computer applications.
  • Database management skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to manage many moving parts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple departments.
  • Ability to reconcile purchase orders to receipts.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when required to fulfill company growth requirements.
