Test Engineer

Looking for entry-level and experienced test engineers to support existing production and a significant increase in new development programs in the MAS business area in Endicott, NY.

Demonstrated technical ownership of production test on multiple complex programs.

Support test technicians with difficult troubleshoot of complex problems.

Provide training, guidance and mentoring to test technicians.

Support Test Engineering Manager in planning necessary production test resources to support contract commitments including coordinating new purchases and repair and maintenance of existing equipment.

Ensure commitment to our "Total customer satisfaction" quality policy.

Must be self-directed and have the ability to organize workload to develop a plan to maximize efficiency of performing tasks.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are required as the candidate acts as an interface with internal and external customers.

Candidate must have flexible schedule and exceptional work ethic to respond to the challenges of a dynamic environment.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
2 year technical degree
Ability to work independently as part of a larger team
Self directed

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
BSEE or similar 4 year technical degree
Experience working in a production test environment on military flight controls
Experience working with CsGTI, NI TestStand, Labview, Visual Basic or similar test executives and programming languages utilized in the Test Engineering discipline.

A day in the life of an Aftermarket Product Test Engineer consists of troubleshooting customer product at both a unit level and Circuit Card Assembly level. When troubleshooting circuit card assemblies, our test engineer is looking at failed circuits, isolating the fault down to a component level, then dispositioning the repair procedures. Candidates need to be strong with analog and/or digital electronics and embedded systems. The Product Test Engineer will need to be capable of using standard electrical lab and test equipment. Familiarity with more advanced troubleshoot tools is a plus. Our Product Test Engineers also support our manufacturing floor as needed to ensure that product continues to move through the process, and play a vital part of instilling our company’s value of maintaining a lean culture. This includes constantly looking for continuous improvement opportunities.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Associates Degree in EET or equivalent technical degree program, and some experience.
• Enter FAA mandated Anti-Drug Pool. Subject to random drug testing.
• Intermediate-level technical skills and knowledge of technical requirements
• Electronics component level troubleshooting and instrument familiarity (analog and/or digital)
• General understanding of electronics manufacturing process
• Ability to interpret technical specifications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in EET or EE, or equivalent technical degree program, and some work experience.
• Lean Manufacturing experience
• Demonstrated ability in isolating electrical failures to root cause
• Ability to interpret and apply specifications, standards, and customer requirements
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and organize multiple activities in a team environment
• Advanced-level technical skills, knowledge of technical requirements, and system flows skills relevant to job/area of work
