Job Description

TEL is proud to offer a full-time Test Technician Apprentice opportunity at TEL Manufacturing and Engineering of America (TMEA) located in Chaska, MN.

Position is ideal for recent high school graduates or rising technical school students looking to start their career in the semiconductor industry. No previous experience required.

TEL designs and manufactures complex capital equipment for the semiconductor industry. Our equipment integrates a wide variety of wafer processing technologies from wet to vacuum; and all the support systems to make them run: Electrical power systems, mechanical utilities, PLC controls, vacuum technology, custom design robotics and mechanisms, high voltage, RF generators, complex motion control, process chemical delivery and more.

Responsibilities

• Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
• Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams.
• Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems.
• Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
• May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
• May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.

Required Qualifications:
GED or High School Diploma.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
