IS Asset Manager job at Texas Children's Hospital. Houston, TX. Job DescriptionWe're looking for an IS Asset and Financial Manager, someone who's ready to grow with our company. In this position you will be responsible for the set of business practices that join financial, contractual andinventory functions to support life cycle management and support strategic decision making for the IS environment. Assets include all elements of software and hardware found in the environment and supported by the IS Organization. IT Asset Manager gathers detailed hardware and software entitlement and usage inventory information to ensure compliance, eliminate risks and support decisions about hardware and software purchases and redistribution. The manager creates processes and procedures to ensure the organization manages their systems more effectively and saves time and money by avoiding unnecessary asset purchases and promoting the harvesting of existing resources. The manager is responsible for developing and maintaining an effective IT asset management program to minimize the incremental risks and related costs of advancing IS portfolio of projects. The manager focuses on continuous improvement of business practices and processes through iterative and focused metrics. This management position is also responsible for assisting IS Senior Leadership with budget preparation and actual versus budget analysis of IS departmental expenditures throughout the year.Job Duties & Responsibilities• Develop, maintain, and execute asset management programs including processes, procedures, tools and reporting of both software and hardware assets.• Develop, prioritize, and maintain various asset management plans.• Participate in the mapping of assets in the IS ecosystem to suppliers ensuring use is optimized.• Creates and maintains asset profiles and dashboards.• Monitor asset performance against goals and develop reporting methodologies (dashboards, KPIs, and SLA reporting) and to support corrective action.• Foster and maintain sound, supportive, service-centric business relationships with all constituencies including IS Management, Financial and Property Accounting, Legal and other IS departmental contracts.• Manage asset compliance and risks including internal and external audit activities.• Works with Director on yearly budget. Reviews current year budget and actual expenditures and monitors budget expenses throughout the year.Skills & Requirements• Required bachelor's degree IT, Accounting, or related field; Relevant work experience in managing IT hardware and software assets• Preferred ITIL 3 - ITIL Version 3 Foundation Exam• Required 10 years relevant experience with at least 5 years Management experience
