As a Manufacturing Steward, you’ll be part of a team in an entry level roll.  This position is critical to our mission of creating the highest quality medicine that changes people’s lives. In this role, you will help to facilitate manufacturing of our prescription medical cannabis products to meet strict quality standards. 


Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all activities are performed safely and in strict accordance with company requirements and procedures including facility & safety plans, standard operating procedures, work instructions, regulatory compliance requirements and quality control plans.
  • Perform cleaning functions at an after each use, daily, weekly, and monthly frequency as detailed in the “Cleaning Log” to minimize operational down time.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance following manufacturers recommendations to minimize operational down-time.
  • Restock all ingredients, packaging, and PPE on an as needed basis during the shift and at the end of the shift to ensure all items are full to ensure a stocked start up for the following day. 
  • Batch and record the details all ingredients necessary for all product cooks scheduled for the following day.
  • Maintain organization of the production and processing rooms on an as needed basis throughout the shift and at the end of each shift to ensure an organized start up for the following day.
  • As requested, assist operators to prepare, manufacture and post-process medical cannabis products according to strict product requirements to meet production and quality targets.  This this will mostly include post processing activities such as demolding, curing, coating, and packaging finished medical cannabis products.
  • Maintain good manufacturing practices (GMP) and keep processing laboratory and manufacturing space clean by collecting, disposing of, and logging all hazardous and non-hazardous waste, cleaning of all processing and manufacturing equipment.
  • Support inventory management of consumables and ingredients for operations through ERP database management and physical inventory assessments.
  • Understand tasks, responsibilities and areas of ownership detailed in this job description can and will change as the business needs dictate.


What you'll need to succeed:
  • 2+ years of basic food service or other pertinent sanitation and cleaning experience
  • High school or equivalent degree.  Associates or vocational degree or equivalent work experience is beneficial
  • Experience in a startup and/or high-growth environment preferred
  • Proficient in algebraic math and analytical tools preferred
  • Experience working in restaurants as dining room support, dish washer, food preparation/processing, and preparation equipment preferred
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and an eye for product quality and process improvement
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills


This position is $17.50/hour


The first 5-8 months of this position will be located in Austin, Texas
