This position is a telework position and you with a travel requirement of less than 10% of the time. You are a self-starting, motivated, collaborative problem solver who understands the value of working independently to structure your tasks, but also knowing you have a team behind you ready to assist with questions that arise.What You Will DoThe Administrative Assistant IV performs advanced (senior-level) administrative support work. Works under limited supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.You Will Be Trusted To• Receive and distribute incoming daily mail, emails, and faxes and monitor the Unit’s websites.• Create digital case files and download new case documents from the Department of Labor FLAG website and then uploading those documents into the Foreign Labor Certification processing system.• Data enter new H-2A, H-2B and interstate job order information into the FLC system for record keeping.• Assign housing inspections to the correct area Management (ISAMs) team, coordinate with ISAMs and employer to ensure inspections are conducted in a timely manner, and review inspection reports for compliance with applicable federal regulations.• Perform other duties as assigned.You Qualify With• Graduation from an accredited high school or successful completion of GED certification, plus three years of full-time experience that provided knowledge of administrative support functions and office practices and procedures, or clerical administration and business management practices, such as preparation, maintenance and control of forms, records and reports.• Fifteen semester hours of accredited college work may be substituted for six months of experience.You Are a Great Fit With• Knowledge of office practices and administrative procedures.• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to the Foreign Labor regulations.• Skill in the use of standard office equipment and software.• Ability to implement new administrative systems and procedures and to evaluate their effectiveness.• Ability to interpret rules, regulations, policies and procedures.• Ability to provide guidance to others.• Ability to research techniques.• Ability to program management processes and techniques.You Gain• A Family Friendly Certified Workplace.• Competitive salary: $3,630.61/month• Defined Retirement Benefit Plan• Optional 401(k) and 457 accounts• Medical Insurance• Paid time off, including time for vacation, sick and family care leave• Additional benefits for active employees can be found at https://www.ers.texas.gov/Active-Employees/Health-Benefits.VeteransUse your military skills to qualify for this position or other jobs!
