This position will lead a dynamic and talented E-Learning Development team in creating and improving computer-based training for an agency with over 4,000 staff. This position is located at 101 E. 15thSt., Austin, Texas.We offer a hybrid work arrangement with a minimum of one day per week in our Austin office. You look forward to working in a training department and believe in our mission: “We are here to help TWC, and our partners enhance employee workplace skills and productivity through the delivery, development, and coordination of quality learning opportunities.”WHAT YOU WILL DO:The E-Learning Manager (Manager II) performs moderately complex (journey-level) managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of a business function, division, or department. Works under general supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:-Manage the E-Learning Team, which designs, develops, delivers, and evaluates digital and computer-based training.-Oversee the planning, coordination, and organization of training processes including the creation of departmental web sites, and accessibility of e-learning products to achieve department goals.-Manage multiple e-learning projects through use of effective project management methodology and tools; meet established guidelines and project expectations.-Oversee the development of complex documents, including training curricula, PowerPoint, proposals, correspondence, and training plans, to meet department standards.-Screen, interview, and hire qualified staff.-Write and conduct performance appraisals; recommend personnel actions and implement corrective actions; help create employee-improvement plans.-Represent the agency and department at conferences and meetings.-Conduct training and presentations.-Oversee operations of the department in the absence of the director.-Perform other duties and projects as assigned.YOU QUALIFY WITH:-Three years of full-time experience in the development, implementation, or interpretation of policies and procedures in a public or private agency, six months of which must have been in an administrative management or supervisory capacity.-Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.YOU ARE A GREAT FIT WITH:-Successful e-learning and training and development project-management experience, including meeting deadlines, amid ongoing change.-A history of management on a dedicated training and development team with the ability to develop and guide an e-learning team while producing measurable results.-Excellent writing skills and knowledge of accessibility best practices.-Experience developing and reviewing e-learning and training and development curricula for adult audiences.-Experience with delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.-Attention to details and the ability to follow policies while completing multiple tasks.-A history of being a dependable team player who can work both independently and collaboratively.Duty involves up to 25% travel within the state of TexasYOU GAIN:- A Family Friendly Certified Workplace.- Competitive salary: $6,562.50/month- Defined Retirement Benefit Plan- Optional 401(k) and 457 accounts- Medical Insurance- Paid time off, including time for vacation, sick and family care leave- Additional benefits for active employees can be found at https://www.ers.texas.gov/Active-Employees/Health-Benefits.VETERANS:Use your military skills to qualify for this position or other jobs!
