Whatever it takes.Materials Coordination and Purchasing SupervisorOrlando, FL (Onsite)Position SummaryThales is looking for a Materials Coordination and Purchasing Supervisor will be responsible for leading two separate functional groups and personnel within supply chain function;• Supply Chain Materials Coordination; coordinating logistical flow of company assets to global Thales owned/operated spokes.• Tactical Purchasing; managing day-to-day procurement needs of the AGS (Aviation Global Services) organization.In this position, you will also be responsible for work area operations and adherence against customer, program, project, budget, metrics and quality standards. In this role, you will direct and coordinate activities of associates engaged in purchasing and distributing avionics complex assemblies, high and low volume, within the AGS network. The procurement activity will support global AGS customer demand, both internal and external. The Material Coordination team will support internal AGS network inventory allocation, and material coordination efforts.Key Areas of Responsibility• Responsible for coordinating material logistical flows within AGS internal network consisting of repair stations, line stations, and TKM sites.• Allocate AGS stock in accordance with supply chain forecasting & planning recommended stock levels to optimize our asset utilization and customer commitments.• Responsible for the management of procurement of material & parts required at minimum cost, consistent with delivery requirements and quality specifications. This includes re-prioritizing supplier deliveries to support customer on-dock dates (per discussion with Thales Supply Chain group); Monitor all purchasing activities and design various cost effective methods according to demands; Responsible for ensuring materials operations and support services meet customer, program, and project requirements, and are compliant with Thales QMS, Thales EHS, AS9100, FAA, and U.S. Export/Import and DOT regulations.• The role will require high level of coordination and collaboration with supply chain teams such as planning and logistics, and other functions such as program management, Global and Avionics procurement teams etc.; Develop and maintain professional relationships with all suppliers.• Builds high performing motivated teams. Provides training, performance evaluations, guidance and counseling of direct report team members.• Ability to support an AOG (Aircraft on Ground) environment which may entail non-traditional office hours (on-call, nights, weekends, etc.) and elevated stress levels.Minimum Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related is required.
