Business Development and Sales Lead

We’re Thalo Labs, a NYC-based company on a mission to transform the built environment into a powerful tool for fighting climate change. Where others see buildings as part of the problem, we see an incredible opportunity to leverage existing infrastructure to not only accelerate drawdown, but to transform the built environment from one of the biggest carbon emitters to a carbon sink. Our technology combines proprietary sensing, software, and capture systems to accurately measure, significantly reduce, and directly capture a building’s onsite greenhouse gasses in real time. 


Our team has built self-driving cars at Waymo, worked on satellite imagery at Google, designed systems for John Deere, developed space missions for NASA, engineered bikes for Peloton, led manufacturing design for Boom Supersonic jets, and more. We are united by our shared goal of making products that help us decarbonize today and accelerate drawdown globally.


We’re looking for a skilled Business Development and Sales Lead who can help us accelerate our sales processes within the Commercial Real Estate space. You should have experience managing the full gambit of business development, from prospecting leads to conducting product demos to closing deals. You’ll thrive in this role if you've worked at an early stage startup and are enthralled by the idea of working in a fast-paced environment, wearing multiple hats, and understand that every potential customer is business critical.

  • Thalo Labs believes everyone should be compensated fairly. At our ground-floor stage, our compensation structure places a strong emphasis on the value of high equity, with an annual base salary ranging from $120,000-$150,000


What You'll Do
  • Accelerate Thalo Labs’ sales cycles within the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) space
  • Research, test, and implement new sales models and tools
  • Manage our full sales cycle, including sourcing and qualifying leads, delivering demos, and closing deals 
  • Serve as a customer advocate within Thalo, surfacing customer questions, requests, and feedback to our engineering and commercialization teams


What You have
  • 5+ years of experience working in software, proptech, or climatetech sales and business development
  • Passion for tackling climate change and promoting sustainability
  • Demonstrated success across the sales funnel, from lead generation to close
  • Experience wearing multiple BD and Sales hats at an early stage startup
  • High technical aptitude and ability to sell the value proposition of Carbon Dioxide removal (CDR) within the built environment
