What You’ll Be Doing- Overall Job Description
We are seeking a collaborative and innovative Director, Healthcare Professional Services to lead and manage the deployment of healthcare solutions, including patient meal services, food service management, and retail. This role requires expertise in healthcare operations and technology, with a commitment to guiding and supporting a diverse, multidisciplinary team in delivering inclusive solutions that address the varied needs of healthcare organizations. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to foster teamwork, manage software project implementations, and promote equitable client outcomes across the healthcare sector. What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead Healthcare Solutions: Oversee the deployment of healthcare solutions, including patient meal services, foodservice management, and retail operations, ensuring that solutions are inclusive and accessible to meet the diverse needs of all clients and patients.
- Empower and Support Teams: Lead, mentor, and support a diverse and inclusive team, promoting collaboration, innovation, and professional growth across services, support, and product teams. Foster an environment where all voices are heard and valued.
- Drive Strategic Direction: Define and implement strategies that align with organizational goals, focusing on client satisfaction, equitable outcomes, and operational efficiency. Prioritize sustainability and inclusive practices in strategy development.
- Inclusive Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for healthcare clients, ensuring the successful delivery of solutions that address the diverse needs of all communities while maintaining strong, inclusive client relationships.
- Equitable Project Oversight: Ensure healthcare projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet regulatory standards, including HIPAA and HITECH, while addressing the diverse needs of patients and stakeholders.
- Financial Stewardship: Manage the professional services P&L, ensuring financial targets for revenue and margins are met while considering the equitable distribution of resources and investment in inclusive initiatives.
- Compliance and Innovation: Ensure compliance with industry regulations while fostering innovation and driving equitable, inclusive service improvements that benefit all communities within the healthcare sector.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
- Healthcare Experience: 7-10 years of experience preferred in healthcare, with a focus on technology solutions and operations in food and nutrition services, or equivalent experience. A solid understanding of healthcare industry regulations, such as HIPAA, and experience deploying technology solutions in healthcare or long-term care settings is important. Applicants with a variety of healthcare backgrounds, including non-traditional settings, are encouraged to apply.
- Inclusive Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and support diverse teams of professionals and technical consultants, fostering an inclusive environment where all team members feel empowered to contribute and succeed. Experience leading a team of managers who supervise staff in a variety of implementation roles (PM, Technical, Consulting, etc.) required.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of desktop and SaaS technologies, particularly in healthcare environments. Experience with electronic health records (EHR), healthcare IT infrastructure, and cloud-based SaaS models is required. Openness to learning new technologies is a plus.
- Project Management: Proven success in managing complex technology deployments in healthcare settings, with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget while ensuring high client satisfaction. PMP, ITIL, or similar certifications are a bonus but not required.
- Effective Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, including C-suite executives, clinicians, and internal teams. Able to translate technical solutions into meaningful outcomes for clients and colleagues.
- Change Management: Skilled at guiding teams through technology adoption, workflow improvements, and enhancements in clinical outcomes, with an openness to diverse perspectives and approaches.
- Vendor and Interoperability Management: Experience working with healthcare technology vendors, managing third-party providers, and integrating systems across diverse platforms using interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR). Willingness to explore innovative solutions and partnerships.
- Regulatory Compliance: Advanced knowledge of healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH), ensuring all technology deployments adhere to regulatory standards and ethical practices.
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of the financial impact of healthcare technology investments and experience managing budgets for technology deployments. Open to exploring cost-effective and equitable solutions.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to assess and analyze data, metrics, and client outcomes to drive continuous improvement in project performance and healthcare service delivery.
- Interpersonal and Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to engage, collaborate with, and influence diverse healthcare stakeholders, including executives, clinicians, and IT leaders, to drive project success and inclusivity.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred. Relevant certifications such as credentialing from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, PMP, ITIL or Sig Sigma are advantageous.
