We are a company that offers a rich benefit package, supports whole-person health, and provides career advancement opportunities.What you will do:As a member of Accredo’s Reimbursement team, you will edit, bill, and collect payment on outstanding claims with a goal of positively impacting the company's revenue and accounts receivable balance. Enabled by a robust training curriculum, clear policies, and team support, you will contribute toward the important functions of billing and collections and contributing toward Cigna’s growth strategy. To achieve our collective success, a working knowledge of the billing and collection processes and accountability for quantity and quality metrics are key expectations of the role. Beyond your core responsibilities, you are expected to embrace a high performance culture through teamwork, personal development, accountability, and involvement in special committees/projects.Billing - Review invoices against payer contracts and bill rules and correct discrepancies timely and accurately. Submit invoices according to payer’s required method of billing i.e. Website, payer portal, software, paper etc. while following company and payer requirements. Collaborate effectively with internal business partners as well as external payers to drive timely and accurate billings.Collections - Investigate reason for unpaid balances from insurance companies; troubleshoot both internal, external issues and insurance denials. Work independently to research and resolve the unpaid balance while following Accredo policies as well as the insurance company requirements. Collaborate effectively with internal business partners as well as external payers to drive timely and accurate collections of invoiced amounts.What you need to do the job:• Associates degree or equivalent work experience strongly preferred.• Accounts receivable background preferred• Self-motivated and goal-oriented• Independent and proactive problem-solving skills• Ability to manage multiple priorities• Solid written and verbal communication skills• Strong research and analytical skills• Team player with a positive attitude• Detail oriented• Solid organizational skills• Proficient in Microsoft Office with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel• Strong understanding of computer programs and hardware used for set up in a virtual environment• Must meet work at home company requirements• Must have strong ability to stay engaged in a virtual environmentNOTE: We are currently training in a work at home environment, and you will be required to have reliable internet connectivity provided through a wired connection. A mobile or hot spot environment is not acceptable and you may need to purchase an Ethernet cord depending on your current set up.This role is Flex/WFH which allows most work to be performed at home or on occasion at a Cigna office location. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 18 - 28 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.We want you to be healthy, balanced, and feel secure.
