Payroll Specialist

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Payroll Specialist to perform complex payroll functions for over 1,000 active fire personnel. This role requires attention to detail and critical thinking.

  • Mathematical calculation skills

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and input daily entries of assigned overtime
  • Oversee the validation of employee timesheets
  • Conduct analysis and resolution of payroll errors
  • Review and analyze Time & Labor and Absence reports
  • Train Fire timekeepers and communicate payroll policy changes

Education

  • Associate's degree in business, finance, or accounting
