Payroll Specialist

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Payroll Specialist to perform complex payroll functions for over 1,000 active fire personnel. This role requires attention to detail and critical thinking.

Skills

Knowledge of ERP Payroll Systems
Critical thinking and analytical skills
Effective communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Mathematical calculation skills

Responsibilities

Prepare and input daily entries of assigned overtime
Oversee the validation of employee timesheets
Conduct analysis and resolution of payroll errors
Review and analyze Time & Labor and Absence reports
Train Fire timekeepers and communicate payroll policy changes

Education

Associate's degree in business, finance, or accounting
