We seek students to participate in our 3-term rotation Packaging Co-op program that will give you real-life opportunities to work on a variety of projects, like Sweetwater Brewery - see video: https://www.haskell.com/projects/sweetwater-brewery-expansion/Our Packaging team leads all aspects of the development process, from design to manufacturing to project management. Co-ops are given real-life responsibilities through involvement in various activities, initiatives, and exciting assignments with brand name clients. Packaging team co-ops will have a chance to interact with our clients at their manufacturing facilities. The projects vary in complexity and provide good exposure to a wide range of packaging materials and technologies.Job Responsibilities:• Bid packages• Bid evaluations• Drawing packages• Specifications• Prepare and maintain databases• Assist in project schedule tracking, project accounting, and project status reporting• Design packaging lines in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit• Develop flow sheets, package and speed matrices• Work on complex, automated packaging machineryEducation/Experience:• Engineering Co-Op or Non-engineering College Graduate, preferable in Electrical Engineering• Experience in an engineering support position preferredSpecific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Packaging or similar engineering• Excellent computer skills, including 2D and 3D CAD• Ability to work independently• Ability to adjust to changing timelines while meeting deadlines• Excellent time management skills• Excellent interpersonal team skillsEnvironmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information.
