Job Summary:  

Are you a passionate sales professional experienced in clinical research seeking a new opportunity? IMA Clinical Research is actively seeking a proactive and results-oriented Director of Business Development to join our team. This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote work with occasional travel.  

The ideal candidate should possess prior experience in business development, specifically within the field of clinical research.  

This position is not considering candidates from New York City, Chicago, California, Colorado, or Washington states at this time.  

   

Responsibilities:  

  • Lead the identification, cultivation, and maintenance of relationships with key decision-makers in pharmaceutical, biotechnological, and contract research organizations.
  • Drive business growth by securing new opportunities in site-based, hybrid, and fully decentralized clinical trials.
  • Manage the entire sales process from prospecting to closure, meeting and exceeding assigned sales targets.
  • Represent IMA Clinical Research at industry conferences and events, showcasing our offerings and expertise.
  • Maintain accurate records using CRM tools and ensure client satisfaction through dedicated relationship management.

   

Qualifications:  

  • Proven experience in sales within the clinical research field, demonstrating a successful track record of initiating and closing deals.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to identify leads and devise effective sales strategies to enhance success rates.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and CRM software.

   

Education and Experience:  

  • Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, or a related field; equivalent and relevant qualifications considered.
  • 1-2 years of experience in clinical research, site networks, CROs, pharmaceuticals, or related sales roles, equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this position.

Our Government Services Division supports local, state, and federal agencies and delivers professional and objective medical and psychological examinations as well as ancillary services. Our Payer Services Division meets the evaluation and screening needs of Carriers, TPAs, Public Entities and Employers and includes behavioral health and physical medicine specialty services, working with a wide range of organizations within the workers' compensation, disability, liability, and auto markets. Our Clinical Research Division performs all types of Phase II-IV clinical trials in multiple therapeutic areas through a flexible nationwide network of site locations and virtual capabilities.
