Judge Healthcare is seeking a Physician for a REMOTE Physician Reviewer with one of our biggest clients! We will provide a schedule with at least 3 weekend days per month, requiring your participation in a weekend rotation, and offering minimal flexibility once assigned. You will receive your schedule 60 days in advance... • Candidates need current or recent (no more than 6 months ago) direct patient care experience. • Type: W2 Contract to hire (3 months contract, then perm/full time) • Hours: 8 hours between 6-am-7pm MST. Some weekends included (40 hours per week) • You will participate in a weekend rotation, working at least 3 weekend days per month. • Location: REMOTE! THIS IS NOT PART-TIME! - full time 40 hours per week! • Pay rate: $100-105/hr. (Salary for once converted to perm/ full time is $220K + bonuses) Notes: "Looking for those who want to make Utilization Review their career, and not someone who just wants to try it. (it takes way too much training (6 months) before they even become productive. We don’t want someone interested in locums only. This is NOT a job for someone looking to semi-retire. It is busy and will require hard work. " Summary: Our Physicians utilize their clinical knowledge to provide an evidence-based approach to reviews, and adjudicating requests for commercial and Medicare D medications. Conducting peer reviews allows a physician to provide an informed, objective voice to the review of coverage decisions. Our reviews often address controversial, cutting-edge treatment modalities, thereby allowing our physicians to stay abreast of emerging technologies. Schedule Details • will work 40 hours per week. • the schedule will consist of staggered, 8-hour shifts, often working until 7 pm MST (until 9pm in the EST). We dictate your schedule; it is not flexible. • will participate in a weekend rotation, working at least 3 weekend days per month. • schedule will have little to no flexibility once assigned. (It is not a flexible schedule) • will receive your schedule at least 60 days in advance. You will share the weekend days and required hours equally with other physicians, with occasional exceptions managed by the scheduling coordinator. • is important to note that due to the short turnaround times of reviewed cases, you will need to work a consistent 40-hour schedule per week, and part-time positions are not available. Equipment You will be provided with all the computer equipment necessary for the job, and you will need to connect it to the internet using an Ethernet cable (Wi-Fi is not allowed). To qualify for this position, you must meet the following requirements: • board certification in either Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. • must have at least 5 years of recent clinical patient care experience. • must be willing to obtain up to 20 additional state licenses (we will cover the cost of licenses and CME requirements to maintain them). • must have a clean background, without any prior licensure issues or malpractice history (background or malpractice issues can delay the process of obtaining additional licenses). • must be fully committed to the job during your scheduled hours, as this position does not allow for any caregiving responsibilities during your work hours
