Engineering Team Lead

We’re TheyDo, a fully remote SaaS B2B organisation, pioneering a groundbreaking software category – Customer Journey Management.

In December 2022, we secured a €12M Series A funding round, with angel investment from industry giants Intercom, Miro, and Calendly. We support and partner with renowned enterprise organisations such as IBM, Adidas, and Cisco, helping them navigate the intricate landscape of customer journey mapping.

We kicked off 2024 with a global team of 65 TheyDoers, representing over 30 nationalities across 20 countries, though this marks just the beginning.

What you'll do

Working closely with Charles our CTO you'll lead the engineers in one of our product teams.
You’ll have an outsized impact on solving a complex enterprise problem with a delightful and easy-to-use platform. In addition, you’ll contribute to building a culture focused on fast-paced delivery to realise our ambitious roadmap.

For that, you’ll use our stack, which consists among others of NodeJS, AWS, ECS, Postgres, Redis, ElasticSearch, OpenAI, Python, TypeScript, Honeycomb, Apollo/GraphQL, VueJS, WebSockets, Storybook, Playwright, and Jest.

Your top priority is ensuring that the up to five engineers of your team are setup for success and have them focused on delivering customer value, rather than just code.

Areas where you’ll make an impact include:

  • Defining the processes and rituals that set up your team for success

  • Being the first point of contact for your PM and designer for technical designs and roadmapping

  • Supporting the engineers in your cross-functional team, running performance reviews and creating growth plans

  • Contribute to delivery, there will be plenty of time to code as a player-coach

  • Help define how we scale the engineering team through our Tech Lead Community

  • Micro-manage your team or create stories all day long. We believe in self-managed workers who know what to work on next.

  • An engineer who knows what a high-performing team feels like

  • Prior experience in running a product team and measuring their success

  • An engineer who wants to be at the foundation of a fast-growing team

  • A product-minded engineer who wants to understand how people use our product and why

  • An asynchronous worker who organises and documents their work

  • A clean coder who writes well-structured and maintainable code
