Your Role as Director of Marketing Operations:

This position is responsible for supporting, implementing, and managing marketing operations, with a focus on organizing resources to enable the Marketing team to perform core functions. This includes oversight of video production, artistic renderings, floor plans, site plans, photography, and other assets produced by third parties, as well as managing marketing software programs that handle websites, social media, creative files, design assets, and event management. The role also drives results for special projects, policies, and procedures in alignment with the company’s quality, process, and business standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead and manage the operations of the Marketing team, ensuring that all marketing materials and projects are delivered efficiently and on time. Duties include:

  • Organizing resources and processes that support core marketing functions such as video production, artistic renderings, and the production of marketing collateral, branded promotional products, apparel, gifts, and other assets used to market Thompson Thrift and its business assets.
  • Coordinating the creation of high-quality marketing deliverables, including presentation slide decks, bank and equity packages, informational packages, and branded promotional materials.
  • Serving as a liaison between the marketing team and other departments, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Scheduling regular team huddles to monitor marketing project capacity, efficiency, time management, and deadlines.
  • Working closely with leadership to identify marketing priorities, projects, and resource needs.
  • Ensuring that team members stay focused on assigned marketing projects and following through to completion.
  • Holding marketing team members accountable for deadlines, quality, and the efficient use of resources.
  • Managing the marketing team's goals, budget, and processes to ensure alignment with the company’s objectives and budgetary constraints.
  • Leading operational meetings for the marketing team and ensuring consistent progress toward goals.
  • Collaborating with Training and Leadership Development to address training needs and enhance team skills in marketing operations.
  • Overseeing onboarding and growth opportunities for new and existing marketing team members.
  • Managing critical conversations to clarify expectations, foster improvement, and enhance team performance.
  • Supporting marketing engagement initiatives that strengthen team communication and collaboration.
  • Ensuring a consistent process for interviewing, onboarding, and training new marketing team members.
  • Managing administrative assistants, coordinators, and managers within the marketing team.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8 years of progressive experience building strong teams and culture. At least 4 years of experience in a management capacity.
  • Strong skills in organizing resources, managing marketing projects, and ensuring the timely production of high-quality marketing materials.
  • Experience with marketing software program management, including those that manage websites, social media, creative files, design assets, and event management.
  • Proven leadership, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant marketing software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and reliability.
