We’re growing and looking for a passionate Contract Sourcer to join our recruiting team! This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in finding top talent for high-impact roles across pre-sales, implementation, support, product, marketing, and design teams. You’ll be the first point of contact for candidates, helping shape the future of Timescale by finding people who are as excited about our mission as we are.

Due to the team's and our business partners' locations, we are prioritizing candidates in the East Coast or Central time zones in the United States.

What you will be responsible for in this role:

Reviewing incoming applications and leveraging advanced sourcing techniques (online search, Boolean, networking, social media) to identify and engage high-potential candidates.
Partnering with recruiters and hiring managers to understand team needs and align on talent strategy, becoming a trusted advisor in our hiring process.
Developing and nurturing talent pipelines, ensuring we have a robust pool of candidates for current and future hiring needs.
Delivering an exceptional candidate experience through transparent communication and thoughtful engagement throughout the process.
Conducting initial interviews to assess skills, fit, and passion for our mission while bringing Timescale’s values to life.
Keeping the team aligned with timely updates and insights on sourcing activities, adapting to our fast-paced, high-growth environment.

You could be a great fit if:

You have 2+ years of experience as a Sourcer skilled in finding and engaging top-tier talent using a variety of channels.
You have experience sourcing technical candidates, especially for dynamic, high-growth start-ups.
You have stellar communication skills with a knack for connecting with people and understanding their motivations.
You are detail-oriented with the ability to balance multiple priorities and keep projects on track.
You have experience streamlining the process using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other sourcing tools.

You might not be a great fit if:

You prefer a role where the majority of candidates come through inbound applications and aren’t comfortable with proactive sourcing.
You get frustrated with changing priorities and need a lot of structure and predictability in your workday.
You’re not comfortable with technical jargon and struggle to engage with candidates for specialized tech roles.

Details:

Contract Role: This is an 8-month contract position with pay of $85,000 per year (prorated).
