Join our global team of 19,000 people in 45 countries, and start helping our customers push the limits of what's possible in their world of motion.Timken Power Systems is currently seeking aNortheast Regional Sales Managerto oversee and manage an existing sales force and to grow the sales force in the Northeast Region as needed and to optimize profit while meeting marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives. This team is responsible for driving business growth in electric motor and gearbox repairs and sales. This position reports to the General Manager - Northeast Region.Responsibilities:Meet company objectives for product sales and profitabilityMaintain existing product sales, while formulating new product line strategy to assure market growthMonitor and be held accountable for financial performance of the group; take corrective action as needed or directedManage and develop an existing network of regional representatives within the territoryMeet operational requirements and follow up on resultsSet up dealer networks in new marketsVisit customers and quickly assess needs, oversee engineering specifications, and convert customer opportunities into profitable salesManage existing sales staff, make joint sales calls, and assist in closing large or complicated ordersDirect sales efforts to assure customer inquiries are handled in a professional, efficient, and timely mannerProvide sales training and other development needs as identified to sales force; render and document disciplinary action as neededDirect all aspects of the sales operation to the highest level of professionalismWillingness to travel as necessary, typically 50% or moreThis role is primarily remote and has a high level of autonomyKey Attributes:General industrial knowledge and mechanical aptitudeProficient in Microsoft OfficeExcellent attendance and punctuality - dependable and reliableExcellent customer service and human relations skillsWillingness to continuously learnExperience with CRM softwareBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, engineering, business or manufacturing from an accredited college or university is preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent requiredApplicant must have 10+ years of industrial sales experience, gearbox repair and/or motor repair experience preferredAll qualified applicants shall be treated equally according to their individual qualifications, abilities, experiences and other employment standards.
