Position: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Scope of Care: We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) responsible to provide a full range of anesthesia services for the Veterans’ Health Administration.

Duration and Schedule
Start Date: September 1, 2024
End Date: March 1, 2025
Clinic Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with off-hours on call coverage as required including evenings, weekends and holidays (Weekday Coverage: Monday - Friday; 3:30 p.m. through 7:00 a.m. of the following day (15.5-hour shifts) Weekend Coverage: Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. the following day (24-hour shifts) Holiday Coverage: 8:00 a.m. 8:00 a.m. of the following day (24-hour shifts)
Responsibilities include:
· Providing clinical anesthesiology services for patients undergoing various types of surgery including general, orthopedic, plastic, ENT, urologic, podiatric, minor vascular, gynecology, endoscopy, dental/oral, and ophthalmologic operations.
· Offering primary coverage for all patients in surgical intensive care, short stay units, acute and chronic pain management services, diagnostic transesophageal echocardiography, and emergency airway management.
· Providing consultative services at the patient's bedside for non-ambulatory patients and in the clinic setting for ambulatory patients.
· Ensuring timely presence for scheduled clinics/surgeries, documented by physical presence in the clinic or operating room at the scheduled start time.
· Following all established medication policies and procedures without providing sample medications to patients.
Providing
Requirements:
· Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from an accredited program.
· National Certification for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs).
Additional Requirements:
· Current licensure to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia when services are performed onsite on VA property.
· Board Certification/Board Eligibility by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).
· Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency.
· All continuing education courses required for maintaining certification must be kept up to date, with documentation provided annually.
