Hi, 👋 I’m Monica McIlroy, TLDR’s Outbound Sales Development leader. If you’re an SDR who knows tech, loves to prospect, and doesn't rely on cold calling, please keep reading. We're looking for someone to connect with top marketers and agencies in developer tools and B2B SaaS to drive TLDR’s advertising business forward. You will be responsible for prospecting, outreach, and social selling in a small team of collaborative SDRs. TLDR is a collective of technical newsletters on startups, software engineering, AI, cybersecurity, marketing, product management, and more, with over 5 million subscribers.
Our mission is to build the paper of record for technical fields, the trusted source that people who work in tech rely on to inform them about important trends and developments.
About the role
Handle a high volume of outbound outreach and stay organized
Develop creative prospecting and outbound strategies to create and nurture opportunities
Collaborate with the rest of the sales team to develop and refine our sales process
Work with Monica McIlroy - a globally recognized Outbound Sales Development leader
About You
2+ years of BDR/SDR experience in a B2B outbound role
Exceptional ability to research companies and prospects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous, fast-paced collaborative environment
You're not a good fit for this role if you:
Haven't worked in a B2B SaaS environment
Rely on cold calling vs. writing compelling outbound sequences
Enjoy large teams and that "in-person group feeling" at work
Prefer to have a manager give you clear instructions or a target account list each day
Don't have much knowledge or experience of the tech ecosystem

Base salary for this role is $62,000-72,000 plus additional performance-based compensation via our sales incentive plan for an OTE of $75,000-85,000
