Senior Software Engineer

We're seeking talented, self-starting Frontend and Backend developers capable of building out features for our data synthesis platform. At Tonic.ai, you'll have the opportunity to help build a product that is core infrastructure for organizations to use, analyze, and build upon their data while exploring cutting edge data processing techniques such as natural language processing, structured data synthesis, and differential privacy. In addition, as a member of a small engineering team you'll have many opportunities to forge our best practices, technical decisions, and create areas of ownership for yourself.

What You’ll Do:

• Write code. Develop cutting edge data transformation tools that efficiently and safely protect our customers' data.

• Work with customers. Tonic is a customer focused organization. You may work directly with customers to validate an approach or debug an issue.

• Write your own specs. We’re a small team working in a lot of ambiguity. There will be many opportunities to define your own approach, alongside Product and Design.

What You’ll Bring:

• 5+ years experience

• Proficiency with an object oriented programming language such as C#, C++, or Java for backend candidates, or proficiency with Typescript and React for frontend candidates.

• Self-starter with excellent communication skills, able to work independently with little direction

• Some things that will make you stick out:

  • Experience with a broad range of database technologies

  • Experience with with natural language processing and/or named entity recognition

  • Expertise in React

  • Expertise in dotnet

  • Expertise in one or more database technologies
