Tooling Hoist Associate

Job Summary:

The Tooling Hoist Associate I will be responsible for inventorying, inspecting, and testing hoist equipment. Responsible for timely completion of site project requests. Responsible for monitoring, operating, cleaning, hoists to lift and pull material with cable equipment. Will update project schedules as appropriate when hoist inspections are complete and successful.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain housekeeping of warehouse to meet safety standards and follow all safety guidelines
  • Under oversight, test hoists using test stand to certify and inspect hoist capacity and update tooling systems
  • Perform full hoist teardown and inspection on annual basis for certification
  • Clean and measure internal hoist components using precision instruments
  • Create annual certification document upon successful hoist testing
  • Clean and lubricate hoist chains
  • Perform frequent hoist test upon return from site projects using test stand
  • Replace defective hoist components – chains, breaks, gears, hooks, etc.
  • Prepare and package hoist kits and extras for shipping
  • Collaborate and communicate with leadership and tooling teams to ensure timely delivery of equipment
  • Maintain quality assurance and inventory of supplies and ensuring each hoist kit has the proper quantity of tools needed with required certifications
  • Timely completion of hoist kit assembly to meet tool center schedule requirements
  • Ensure hoist kits are delivered with no quality issues (missing parts or non-working parts)
  • Review inventory of hoists returned from site to ensure all items are accounted for as outlined in inventory sheets
  • Complete visual and functional inspection of hoists received from site to ensure all are in working condition.
  • Clean, reorganize, and recertify all returned hoist kits
  • Follow standard maintenance protocol to ensure compliance is always met.
  • Create and submit restock requests for replacement parts and tools.
  • Work with hoist team to identify causes of operating errors and work as a team to develop solutions to resolve the issues
  • Perform tests and inspect products or processes and evaluate the quality of repairs
  • Manage priorities/tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment
  • Complete required, annual safety training
  • Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments
  • Travel may be required
  • May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of experience with hoisting/rigging equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Must pass certification training within six months – determine how many times one can take the test
  • Basic computer skills which includes but is not limited to the following: writing, modifying and editing text using work processing applications; create and format simple spreadsheets, create basic presentations; know how to forward emails and cc emails; understand how to search, assess search and download information from the internet
  • Strong team player attitude; maintain flexibility within the changing business priorities
  • Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • English Proficiency Required

Desired Characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Physical Requirements (EU Excluded)

  • Must be able to see and move throughout warehouse to resolve work problems and facilitate processes; repetitive motion activities may be involved.
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and squatting.
  • Ability and willingness to handle repetitive weight up to 40 lbs.
