We (Torre) are helping No Meat Factory find top candidates to join their team full-time for the role of QA Technician.Compensation:USD24 - 27/hour.Location:10120 269th Pl NW, Stanwood, Washington 98292, USA.Mission of No Meat Factory:"Make plant-based food products tasty, healthy and affordable for everybody"What makes you a strong candidate:• You are proficient in attention to detail, food safety, Microsoft 365, quality control, and ACCP.• English – Fully fluent.Responsibilities and more:Reporting to the Quality Manager, the QA Technician’s primary responsibilities include but are not limited to daily monitoring and verification of food safety and quality parameters in food processing, working closely with internal teams to ensure that food safety and quality targets are met. This position is also responsible to assist with raw material release, record keeping and documentation, non-conformance, corrective action and root cause analysis processes, customer complaints and various tasks related to the Quality Management System. This role will be exposed to varying conditions and temperatures working in the production area daily (+/- 70%) and in an office setting (+/- 30%).DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:• Monitor quality targets, food safety protocols, production, warehousing, maintenance processes and GMPs to ensure compliance to established standards and requirements, and report non-compliances to the Quality Manager.• Responsible for in-process quality control activities and review of inspection records.• Inspect, evaluate and release incoming raw materials in the company’s ERP system.• Perform daily start-up tasks such as scale verification, issuance of production paperwork, sanitation verification, label control.• Ensure sampling protocols are adhered to and administrate internal and external material and product testing.• Perform environmental monitoring and utilities sampling.• Responsible for data entry and assistance with evaluation of results for product testing, environmental monitoring, utility monitoring and initiation of corrective actions as needed.• Perform calibration of measurement instrumentation.• Assist with Quality Hold procedures and control of non-conforming materials.• Assist in finished product release.• Liaise with other departments to ensure that food safety and quality targets are met; assist other departments as needed.• Contribute to the continual improvement of food safety and quality protocols.• Deputy for other Quality Assurance Technicians.• Use relevant software to enter data, compile reports and update documentation as required.• Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or equivalent position within a related industry.• GFSI experience considered an asset.• BSc in Food Technology, Food Science or relevant education and/or training.• Strong knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP and Quality Management Systems.• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required (MS Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook).• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage with all levels of the organization.• Strong written and verbal communication skills.• High attention to detail and meticulous.• Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic work environment.• Adaptable, resourceful and a willingness to learn.• This is a Monday to Friday position with a schedule aligned to the core business hours. Overtime hours, statutory holidays and weekend work may be required. The schedule may be changed from time-to-time according to business needs.• This is an on-site position, working a combination of on-the-floor and in an office setting.• This position will be required to work in areas with varying conditions, temperatures and noise.
