Tournament Intern

Internship Dates: August 21st – October 27th 2023
Hours: 40Hrs / Week
Location: Las Vegas (Summerlin), NV
The Tournament Internship and selected individual will gain experience in all areas of tournament planning and execution. The individual will work closely with tournament staff in several impactful areas. These areas would be, but not limited to, the following: Tournament services, operations, volunteer management, and ticketing. These areas would include the planning stages of tournament operations and aide tournament staff with fulfillment of the 2023 Shriners Children’s Open.

Responsibilities
  • Support Tournament Office with daily administrative tasks
  • Must be a team player and willing to meet and work with all tournament staff and volunteer committees to support and engage in tournament initiatives and activities
  • Assist in planning all public spectator logistics, including parking, shuttle operations, restrooms, medical, viewing areas and main entrance logistics
  • Manage inventory of all tournament equipment, including course signage, trash receptacles, structural equipment, tools, as well as scoring and caddie supplies
  • Assist with the operation and planning of various special events including, Kick off Your Heels Women’s Luncheon, Pro- Am Draft Party, Volunteer party, Military Day activities and other various events.
  • Assist in managing on-site pro-am registration, gifting suite, and food & beverage with vendors, Tournament Operations, and Pro Am Volunteer Committee
  • Assist in coordination of Tough Day Challenge Tournament Event with Tournament Services team
  • Manage the Honorary Observer program
  • Oversee daily inspection of corporate hospitality setup and décor
  • Meet regularly with Women’s Day Committee to coordinate silent auction donation outreach, procurement, and execution of event
  • During the tournament help with troubleshooting issues on course with credentialing, wristbands, and ticket issues
  • Create wristband plan for all venues during tournament week, work with TSM and Volunteer manager to insure special venues are handled.
  • Other duties as assigned as needed
