TPS Engineering Project Manager

Teradyne’s Defense and Aerospace Total Solutions business has seen significant growth and the Test Program Development team is seeking a dynamic Engineering Project Manager who can lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex automated test solutions on-time and on-budget. The projects will include unique technical challenges that require creative problem solving and close attention to detail. The ideal candidate would possess strong organizational skills and have the technical background to oversee both the hardware and software project deliverables.
Responsibilities
Seeking a TPS Engineering Project Manager in our Defense & Aerospace business unit. In this role you will be responsible for the successful management of cost, schedule and scope management of multiple Total Solutions projects for major programs. The successful candidate must be able to manage change, escalate issues, and take an active role in getting decisions made in a timely manner.
Responsibilities include:
- Ability to lead a cross-functional team of Hardware, Software and Mechanical Engineers and assign tasks
- Facilitating the creation of project schedules
- Monitor and close programs/projects to achieve program objectives
- Use industry standard techniques and tools to measure progress against product and program objectives
- Drive proactive corrective action where required
- Manage scope change control activities and communicate periodic project assessment to sponsors
- Manage 3rd party supplier base to facilitate successful supply chain interaction
Basic Qualifications & Skills
- 4 or more years of Technical Project Management experience
- Association with PMI and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Excellent organizational and communication skills including ability to communicate and foster communication between project team members
- Experience managing team elements in multiple geographic locations
Education
- A Bachelor of Science, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- A BSM or MBA desirable.
ITAR Restriction: All candidates for this ITAR restricted position must be one of the following: US Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident, Asylee, Refugee or otherwise lawfully admitted under an amnesty program.
FOUO Designation: This position may require access to work under Federal Contracts under the "For Official Use Only" designation, and as such, you may be limited to access such programs if you are not a US citizen or if you have dual citizenship
