Data Engineer | AWS (Contract to Hire)

They seek a skilled Data Engineer specializing in AWS and data engineering frameworks who can develop, optimize, and manage scalable data systems to support data science and analytics efforts.

Skills

Strong programming skills in Python and Terraform
Knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, and warehousing
Experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, AWS Kinesis
Understanding of AI and machine learning technologies
Data security and compliance knowledge
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain large-scale data systems including warehouses, lakes, and pipelines
Develop and implement data architectures meeting business stakeholder needs
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts on machine learning models and data products
Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with relevant standards
Develop and maintain technical documentation of systems and architectures
Troubleshoot and optimize data processing system performance
Create and implement automated testing and deployment scripts
Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
