Trading Operations Analyst - Chicago

Optiver is seeking a skilled Trading Operations Analyst to join our Chicago team. This role is a pivotal position within our trading teams, driving the operation and optimization of both our semi-automated and fully automated market making activities and trading systems. What you'll do:

Our Trading Operations Analysts take ownership of critical elements of our trading operations, executing the daily workflows that make us a leading options market-making firm. Your work and projects require the cooperation of several different teams at Optiver and you play a critical connectivity role between those teams and trading. • Operating and optimizing day-to-day trading system controls, parameterization and pricing readiness
• Monitoring and analyzing: positions and automated market making activities + corporate events and their impact on the portfolio
• Monitoring and optimizing: financing and electronic trading fees and rebates + stock lending, short-sale costs and settlement/buy-in risks
• Owning and automating exercise of options contracts on all US exchanges
• Managing Optiver's registered market making and Lead Market Making requirements
• Optimizing reporting processes through automation and key insights
• Working on projects directly related to improving trading profitability and risk

Who you are:

• 1-3 years of work experience in financial markets and a strong interest in options trading
• Proficiency with a programming language, preferably Python
• Bachelor's degree in STEM or a related field
• Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in an accurate and structured way
• Drive to constantly improve and optimize
• Able to work under pressure and multi-task
• Legal Authorization to work in the US
