Center of Excellence in Financial Analytics - Data Analytics and FP&A Innovation Trainee Team Description: The Center of Excellence in Financial Analytics comprises a dynamic and diverse team of professionals with expertise in data analytics, data manipulation, dashboard building, and FP&A. Our team is dedicated to driving innovation, leveraging analytics techniques, and utilizing financial insights to optimize decision-making within the organization. Collaborative and driven, our team members work closely together to deliver high-quality business insights and contribute to the success of the Global CFO Organization.

Job Title: Data Analytics and FP&A Innovation Trainee

Job Description:

  • Assist in analyzing complex data sets and generating meaningful insights for both data analytics and FP&A functions within the Center of Excellence in Financial Analytics.
  • Collaborate with senior data analysts and financial analysts to identify opportunities for data-driven innovation and process improvements specific to financial analytics.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to collect, clean, and validate data from various sources for both analytical and financial purposes.
  • Apply analysis techniques, financial modeling, and data manipulation skills to identify patterns, trends, and correlations in data sets relevant to both data analytics and FP&A.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of data models, algorithms, and visualizations to support data-driven decision-making processes for both data analytics and FP&A functions.
  • Contribute to the creation of financial forecasting models, scenario analysis, and dashboard building leveraging analytics methodologies.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in both data analytics and FP&A within the context of the Center of Excellence in Financial Analytics, and proactively suggest innovative approaches.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to enhance financial reporting and analysis by leveraging data analytics techniques and developing interactive dashboards.
  • Support the documentation and presentation of findings and insights related to both data analytics and FP&A within the Center of Excellence, including reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Assist in ad-hoc data analysis requests and contribute to ongoing data analytics and FP&A projects as part of the Center of Excellence team.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Basic or advanced Excel skills, including simple or complex formulae, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Basic macro development to perform simple tasks.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, to create meaningful visual representations of data and build interactive dashboards.
  • Knowledge of analysis techniques, financial modeling, and FP&A concepts specific to the Center of Excellence in Financial Analytics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.
  • Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and develop skills.
