General Summary:
The Training Associate II will provide field based and administrative support on a project and initiative focused on building the capacity of Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation and its service provider network to provide customized employment services to individuals with disabilities in Missouri. The incumbent will develop and support online and face-to-face (direct) training programs and technical assistance to vocational rehabilitation professionals, provider agency personnel, and school transition programs, on customized employment services and strategies for individuals with disabilities. The Training Associate II is responsible for the dissemination of training information through multiple formats, including in-person, online learning management systems, and distance education. The Training Associate II will work with a team in the development of products that will be disseminated within Missouri addressing the issues related to supporting customized employment for individuals with significant disabilities. This position will be located in Missouri.

Work in partnership with Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation to develop a model, structure, and standards for delivery of customized employment services, based on national best practicesQualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitation, Special Education or related field, and a minimum of three-five (3-5) years of work experience directly working with individuals’ disabilities to become successfully employed in the community. An additional 4-5 years (for a total of 7-10 years) of directly applicable professional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree. Knowledge of best practices in employment of persons with significant disabilities on an individual and organizational level required. Previous experience in provision of training and technical assistance preferred. Local and statewide travel is required.
