As a member of the human resource department, the Training Coordinator provides training and administrative support to the training function. The Training Coordinator onboards, organizes, schedules, and plans learning events, creates course materials, procures supplies, and prepares notifications, delivers training to and assessing new employees on related job duties, tasks and steps. The coordinator conducts training and manages training tracking through Learning Management System, maintains training records. The coordinator conducts data entry, data analysis, and creates training reports as needed. Coordinator manages administration of, and ensures completion of, onboarding plans, new hires, and qualification training.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support Training Programs
- Manage Training Tracking, Maintain Training Records and Documentation according to applicable internal and external requirements. (LMS)
- Perform data entry to record, plan and schedule training using Learning Management System
- Update LMS as needed including assigning curriculum, adding and deleting new courses, etc.
- Prepares/Maintains training plans for new hires, onboarding, and qualification purposes. Ensure timely completion and proper sign offs.
- Coordinate activities for training events including scheduling training rooms, sending notifications, scheduling attendees and trainers, creating and preparing course materials including tests, evaluations, handouts, and other training aides. Coordinate snacks and meals for participants as needed.
- Assist in maintaining and creation of training curriculum
- Assist with internal job training.
- Compile, analyze, and organize training data and reports
- Create and teach necessary steps for effective and efficient changeover, start up and shutdown activities
- Directly or indirectly train employees to operate, clean, service and troubleshoot equipment
- Communicate regularly with trainees, leadership team members and Training Manager
- Work with peers and the team to make recommendations on how to improve the operations to optimize production with positive contribution to all key plant indicators
- Work with others to conduct Root Cause Analysis using basic problem-solving tools
- Follow-up on issues and actions to ensure that they are completed and that the issues are addressed
- Perform Lock Out Tag Out as required
- Maintain housekeeping
- Work safely and report any unsafe situations
Project Management
- Participate on project teams as directed
- Become proficient in operational procedures of equipment to be trained
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
- AA, AS, or Administrative Certification preferred
- Advanced/Intermediate experience using Microsoft Office Products
- 1+ year of experience in an LMS systems, experience managing a Learning Management System preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- 1+ year of experience in training others in a classroom setting required
- 1 year of proven success in administrative role.
- Experience working as part of a large, global organization is preferred.
- 1+ year Factory or Distribution Center training experience preferred.
- Bilingual preferred
SKILLS:
- Microsoft Office
- Experience with learning management solutions and/or the use of databases to support training and skill progression if highly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills in working with all levels of organization.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, proofreading, editing and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated to take the initiative to find solutions.
- Demonstrated Time and Project management experience required.
- Skilled at multi-tasking and prioritizing responsibilities and deliverables.
- Requires customer orientation, commitment to flawless execution and detail orientation.
