Job Summary:
The Learning and Development team focuses on continual customer communication and outstanding service levels to support business objectives and team member development. The Training Specialist helps Camden team members build their knowledge, skills and abilities to achieve their goals. This person has a passion for great content, is connected to and interested in the latest learning methodology, enjoys curation, and has strong experience creating and evolving learning paths that support team members’ career growth.
Essential Functions:
Delivers instructor-led and computer-based training on a wide-variety of industry and management topics
Facilitates training in classroom settings and at our communities
Creates an engaging and energizing learning environment, being flexible enough to adapt programming on the fly and ensuring all event logistics run smoothly
Critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze situations, make independent decisions, prioritize to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and be a team player
Partners directly with individuals and managers to define performance gaps and recommend development solutions for team members
Ensures training recommendations align with individual, department and/or company goals
Uses data and analytics to inform and guide learning solutions proactively
Applies industry knowledge and up-to-date learning practices that result in team member behavior changes and improved performance.
Identifies trends in team performance gaps and recommends learning solutions
Anticipates, identifies and plans for obstacles or barriers to learning and performance support solutions
Develops relationships with customers
Identify training needs and providing timely, effective solutions
Develop new innovative material which includes creating and revising soft skills, system and professional development training
Analyzes data to inform and guide learning solutions; interprets and counsels business partners accordingly
Utilizes instructional technology tools to enhance learning and ensure delivery achieves learning goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
Passionate about helping others increase skills and performance to achieve business priorities
Demonstrated ability to continuously improve themselves and Camden
Strong presentation experience using flexible delivery methods (lecture, computer-based/assisted, performance, facilitation, cooperative learning) and tools/technology
Experience in design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training plans, curricula, and methodology
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
Up to 70% travel

Job is intermittently sedentary but requires mobility (i.e., climb stairs)
Will use some repetitive motion of hand-wrist in using computer and writing
Works in a typical office setting
Emotional stability and personal maturity are important attributes in this position
Must handle stressful, urgent, novel and diverse work situations on a daily basis
May require long hours and odd schedules (including weekends)
Position requires periodic travel by automobile to handle work-related activities
May require airline travel, out-of-town and /or overnight trips
Attendance and punctuality is essential for success in this position
Hazards can be minimized with proper lifting techniques, SDS, general safety training, and wearing appropriate PPE

The range for this position is $90K - $105K
