Training Supervisor, 1st Shift

Job Summary
The Trainer is responsible for overseeing a wide variety of training activities within the Distribution Center. This position supports the business by offering training classes and safety programs and serve as a resource for process improvements. This position assign daily work, conduct performance appraisals, and resolve training related problems. This position will be expected to fill in as required for all positions that report directly to him/her and ensure that trainees work efficiently and effectively.
Essential Job Functions
  • Coordinates with temporary agency/DC HR to onboard contingent workers in order to ensure staffing levels are appropriate for each department to meet the daily production needs.
  • Monitors and evaluates the performance of a group of department trainers.
  • Works directly with department managers/supervisors to ensure training work methods and procedures are implemented and followed to increase the productivity, safety and improved quality of service within each department.
  • Measures trainee performance and quality.
  • Creates, communicates and enforces all training policies/procedures to associates.
  • Ensures DC safety training requirements are met.
  • Performs all duties listed above as well as any other job related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of three years of job-related experience, preferably in a distribution environment.
  • Overall fluency in the English language both written and spoken
  • Proficiency in the use of a variety of computer software applications, especially Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Excellent spelling, grammar and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt well to change.
  • Internal candidates are required to have an attendance history of 0 or less.

Typical Working Conditions:
Associate will work around equipment, such as conveyors and rolling stock, which could contain hazards. Other exposures found in a distribution center such as high level of noise, frequent standing, walking and dust exist for this position.
Pay Range:
$26.80 USD - $40.20 USD per hour
Incentive Potential:
This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
