This Services Operations Leader is responsible for the fulfillment of all service offerings and success of the service team for the Life Science Solutions Services business. A part of Trane Technologies, the Life Science Solutions Services team, including Diversified Laboratory Repair, Helmer Scientific, and FARRAR Scientific, is a full-service organization providing maintenance and repair services to all brands and types of laboratory equipment around the world. You will bring customer-centric thinking, strong services acumen, and business leadership to a growing service organization. The focus of this role is to mentor, coach and lead a global service team. A skilled leader, you will be able to effectively communicate our priorities to all stakeholders – including front-line technicians, team leads, area managers, regional leaders, customers, and senior leadership. Where is the work:• This position has been designated as remote within the geography of the United States of America.SAFETY SENSITIVE: This role has been designated by the company as Safety SensitiveWhat you will do:• Accountable for the strategy and performance achievement of operating plan.• Overall responsibility for all service activities with internal and external customers.• Develop infrastructure, resource plans, and competencies for a service team to support scaling from a regional to a global services business.• Hire, retain, develop, train, coach, lead, and motivate a large, diverse workforce for optimal results.• Achieve target objectives for service KPIs including backlog, margin, retention, compliance, quality, and utilization.• Coordinate closely with leadership team to unlock profitable growth while maintaining service quality excellence.• Fulfillment of all services offerings across all covered equipment types, including emergency repair, preventive maintenance, service agreements, turnkey projects, relocation services, rental services, validation services, and all future service offerings.• Gain strong command of customer needs and market opportunities to position our solutions, and to provide input into the larger organization’s future roadmaps and plans.• Regular travel required to meet with services teams.What you will bring:• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in service leadership, preferably in a technical, cold storage or laboratory environment.• Solid knowledge of service contracts.• Business acumen – ability to identify and activate levers to create business and customer value from technical services.• Initiative – motivation to lead, influence, and coach positive change management to deliver business outcomes.• Collaborative spirit – ability to work well with all levels of customer and internal organizations.• Strong relationship building skills.• Executive presence – ability to inspire confidence in colleagues and customers with excellent communication skills.• Technical acumen – strong understanding of laboratory environment.• Forward thinking and creative with high ethical standards.Haven’t done every single thing in the job description? You may just be the best person for this role.Compensation:Total Target Compensation: $170,000 - $230,000 inclusive of base salary plus incentiveTotal compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages.
