Maintenance Manager

NOTE: The following position is for a proposed new/future business within Transdev. Only candidates meeting the work experience requirements will be considered.

• Oversee maintenance control, compliance, quality, and warranties.
• Enforce policies and communicate service availability.

• Handle hiring, training, discipline, and performance.
• Obtain approval for specific actions.
• Ensure staff completes required courses.

• Work closely with regional management and provide updates.
• Operational Responsibilities:
• Review repair orders and manage fuel, parts, and projects.

• Improve processes, assess workload, and support technicians.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical training preferred
• Ability to obtain a CDL Operator’s license with required endorsements 

• Five years of supervisory experience in a lead technician role, supervisor, or other management role requiring a thorough knowledge of safe working practices, DOT, OSHA, and other federal and state regulations
• Effective customer service skills for interacting daily with customer
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of employees and/or customers in a positive manner
• Advanced analytical, financial, and decision-making skills
• Strong experience with computerized diagnostics
• Advanced proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and web-based application
• Industry experience repairing and maintaining diesel engines and school bus equipment is preferred.
• Solid aptitude in planning and scheduling maintenance repairs (Daily, Weekly, Monthly)
• Master ASE Certified inappropriate testing group for the location being managed. (preferred) Or willing and able to achieve.
• Subject to DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
