Mechanic A

Mechanic A:
Transdev is actively seeking A level technicians for their fixed route services in Colorado Springs, CO. We are looking for qualified and experienced fleet technicians to diagnose and repair vehicles and equipment, with daily safety inspections. Application Deadline: 01/01/2025

Responsibilities:
·         Performs transit vehicle maintenance that is compliant with Transdev standards.
·         Inspects, diagnoses, services and/or repairs all assigned transit vehicles and related mechanical equipment.
·         Ensures accurate upgrades and/or modifications on coach systems, road calls, and on-the-road repairs as needed.
·         Coaches and monitors team members on the work team. 
·         Other duties as required.
 
Qualifications:
·         Minimum of 3 years’ experience with heavy duty diesel
·         Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
·         Preferred knowledge of WABCO, Pro-Heat Systems, Thermo-King systems, I/O Control Modules and Functions
·         Must be able to read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics.
·         Must have knowledge of Cummins In-Site program and functions.
·         Must have in-depth computer knowledge to be able to scan and diagnose trouble codes.
·         Must be able to obtain an ASE Master certification within 24 months of employment.
·         Commercial Driving License with passenger and airbrake endorsements (We offer development opportunities for obtaining your license)
·         Excellent communication skills with ability to read, interpret safety documents, blueprints, schematics, and other mechanical diagrams.
·         Ability to pass a DOT physical examination, including a background and drug test.
