UCSF is recognized as a premier institution for healthcare education and healthcare services offered at multiple hospitals and clinics in San Francisco. The Transportation Department is charged with providing safe, reliable and convenient transportation to all accessing services at this second largest employer in the City & County of San Francisco.
The
Transportation Specialist (“Specialist”) will perform a wide range of activities and will take the lead over the customer experience team within the department. The Specialist will be the single point of contact for Transportation customers and will work closely with program stakeholders to ensure a holistic customer experience approach and will work closely with the Transportation Demand Manager to drive program wide communication campaigns and engagement.
Effectively communicating anticipated event impacts to constituents and responding to customer concerns are also paramount responsibilities of the Specialist. With support from the Campus Life Services’ communications team, the Specialist will provide timely, accurate, and clear communications that target appropriate audiences and help encourage constituents to change their commute habits (e.g. work remote, park in different locations, take alternative routes) and ultimately improve the wellbeing of the campus community. Communicating in a professional and courteous manner is also essential in this customer-facing position.
The Specialist must have general knowledge of parking, transportation, and commute programs as well as an understanding of the many facets associated with managing and supporting such programs. The Specialist must be committed to continuous improvement and conduct debriefs after incidents and make recommendations to improve the operation/experience.
**Salary range up to $149,200; hiring range is $100,000-$120,000 DOQ

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
