The Transporter position is ideal for those that enjoy meeting new people, have great communication skills and thrive in a fast paced, busy environment. Transporters have lots of patient interaction so we're looking for a candidate with a friendly, professional demeanor who also enjoys being part of a team and likes to be on the GO!

Hours: Full-Time, 40h/week, Day Shift - 7am to 3:30pm


Position Details:

  • Follows correct procedures for logging in and out of system for taking transport requests. Utilizes the IVR for these requests.
  • Patient safety procedures are utilized daily.
  • Stretchers and wheelchairs are cleaned between exchanges of new patients.
  • All infection control procedures are followed when handling patients.
  • Completes oxygen rounds when assigned
  • Interacts with Service Response Center daily and acknowledges their expectations.
  • Escorts patients by specific modes of transportation. Identifies patient by name as well as MRN and checks ID bracelet.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School/GED or equivalent preferred
  • Must speak, read, write and understand English fluently
