We’re leading the change; we are the change.We are on a mission to power the future of travel; come join us.What does a great Product Manager do?The Product Manager is responsible for identifying our customer needs in the travel industry market, understanding those needs by creating clear and defined features and lean business cases.Supporting an Agile Product Delivery Customer Centric approach in defining, building, and releasing a continuous flow of value and services to the customer.Guiding the work through objectives, key results and developing and executing on the product vision and product roadmap, the Product Manager identifies customer needs to articulate value propositions that will drive the optimum return on investment for their product.The Product Manager will be versed in search, shop and booking flows - specifically content that enables end-to-end capabilities through API and agency point of sale.The product manager provides the vision and direction to the delivery teams around value pursuit, feature prioritization and feature-level acceptance criteria.The Product Manager will apply analytics and quantitative, data-driven decision-making models to inform business decisions coupled with the ability to think creatively about constraints.Responsible for entire product lifecycle including sunsetting of products.This role requires extensive collaboration with other product managers to ensure integration of content and prioritization across many initiatives.Responsibilities include :• Collaborating regularly with customers and suppliers to understand requirements and overall strategy• Developing and communicating the product vision and roadmap for internal and external consumption• Researching and collaborating to understand and document customer needs and validate solutions• Translating high-level market requirements into epic level features, authoring acceptance criteria, and providing product acceptance to ensure market needs are met.Tools used will be Aha! and JIRA.Serving as a subject matter expert and leader to Travelport technical teams ensuring a complete functional definition of the desired featuresWho we are looking for in this role :• Knowledge and implementation of agile tools & principles• Ability to clearly express the connections between larger business goals and backlog items for alignment with Product strategy• Communicate effectively on the purpose and vision of the product roadmap to the wider delivery team and their role in delivering or contributing to the business outcomes• Effective management, prioritization and ownership & accountability for the product backlog; stakeholder management of the backlog and ability to say "no" where items don't make sense for the bigger picture• Prior travel distribution experience preferred as this role will work across more than one segmentOur ambition is to hire for potential not just experience, and you’re likely to succeed if you :• Are always ready to give it your all and deliver high quality work• Are excited to use your creativity and innovative thinking to try new things• Take responsibility and own your work• Are courageous and ambitious to challenge what’s been done beforeBenefits of working at TravelportWe believe all employees contribute to the success of the company and should be able to share in that success, which is why all jobs are eligible to participate in our bonus program with any payouts being subject to individual and company performance.We offer a comprehensive benefit program that includes medical, dental, vision, employer paid Disability and Basic Life Insurance, Voluntary life options, a competitive 401(k) match, as well as many other voluntary benefits to fit your specific needs.We make health and wellness a priority and offer a generous paid time off policy as well as contributing to our communities with an annual volunteer day off.We also offer a New Child leave policy, where the birthing parent receives 16 weeks of paid time off, and the non-birthing parent receives 8.Salary Target / Range : $110,000-$130,000The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.Last updated : 2024-08-31
