This position will have a Senior Full-Stack role, you will play a key role in designing and developing modern veterinary software that serves thousands of users in animal hospitals across the globe. Engineers in this role often take ownership of projects and have the ability to take on larger and more complex features and bugs. You will work closely with a small, cross-functional, highly-collaborative team to deliver quality software that solves real problems for our customers. Our teams have a deep understanding of their domains and work to deliver value with minimal overhead. Provide technical and design leadership across high impact projects that directly impact business goals
Set strategic technical directions for your engineering team
Partner with the designers and product managers to create an engaging and transparent customer experience
Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines
Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables as a highly hands on engineer
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale software solutions
Influence and mentor a distributed set of engineers
5+ years of professional experience
Experience building scaled web-based applications with deep understanding of business goals
Exceptional technical design and technical communication skills.
Strong proficiency with one or more programming languages (Ruby on Rails/React)
Strong foundations in UI development and product security and or DevOps is helpful
Able to negotiate trade offs between product and engineering priorities to maximize the business value of engineering effort
Excellent communication skills
