You'll work closely with key stakeholders to align cybersecurity strategies with business goals, manage cybersecurity and technology risks, and mentor team members in their professional growth.Provide senior-level management and strategic direction for internal and / or externally staffed teams responsible for interaction with line-of-business (LOB) leaders regarding all matters pertaining to cyber security. Partner with LOB leaders to develop and implement technology-based solutions that satisfy security requirements while providing long-term business value. Interact with technical and non-technical members of LOB teams to ensure that proper information / cyber security governance and technical oversight is followed, and ensure the implementation of consistent and supportable technical solutions. Ensure that LOB cybersecurity technology meets internal standards for security.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesFollowing is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Specific activities may change from time to time.• Provide essential leadership and oversee tactical implementation of corporate-wide security principles, policies and practices.• Partner with Divisional Chief Information Officer(s) (DCIOs), technology & operations senior leadership team and stakeholders to guide strategic planning, continuous improvement, standards development and governance of business units of moderate complexity and scale with a lens specific to cybersecurity.• Build strategic partnerships with executives, managers and line-of-business (LOB) partners to enable business strategy and ability to execute in fashion that adheres to our cybersecurity risk tolerance.• Provide necessary subject matter expertise and ensure implementation of information security architecture, risk management standards, best practices and systems/processes to ensure information privacy/protection.• Clearly and accurately communicate strategic direction to peers, subordinates, clients and vendors on a timely basis.• Provide necessary subject matter expertise and coordinate efforts on a corporate-level to identify key security risks, needs and initiatives.• Manage the translation of strategic direction into efficient, effective and supportable solutions ensuring success while maintaining compliance to internal processes and policies.• Monitor controls to ensure that the availability, reliability, performance and service levels remain consistently high and in keeping with line of business expectations.• Ensure adequate security for new business services and systems. Assist in development of scenarios of usage, test for abnormalities or exposures. Prepare documentation to augment vendor materials that include enhancements and implementations.• Support enterprise-level information security-related functions (e.g. firewall administration, communications, incident response, encryption, access control.)• Make recommendations for improvements to program, respond to alleged policy violations and act as participant in event of a breach.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.• Bachelor’s degree in business, cybersecurity, computer science or equivalent and related education, training or experience• Fifteen (15) or more years direct experience in financial services, cybersecurity, or information technology (IT)• Five (5) or more years direct experience managing teams, processes and / or technology related to information and / or cyber security• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities• Effective communication skills• Strategic mindset, goal-oriented, collaborative thinker• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with an ability to manage both short-term and long-term priorities• Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects, activities, and tasks under time constraints.• Experience in multiple banking or cyber security functions• Some travel may be requiredPreferred Qualifications:• Master’s degree in business, cybersecurity, computer science or equivalent and related education, training or experience• Ten (10) or more years' experience in financial services and / or risk management• Five (5) or more years' experience managing teams of teams (25+ teammates)Proven track record in leading client review engagements, including planning, execution, and reporting. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts in business terms to C-Level executives. Experience developing and operating management routines for large organizations, including process and control effectiveness and metrics (KRI/KPI). Prior management experience with a track record of team development and process improvements.
