Purpose of Position

Help students to become better independent learners by assisting them in understanding course material and answering their questions.

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

Help students to become better independent learners by:
- Assisting students in understanding the course material
- Identifying strengths and areas of improvement regarding the content of the coursework and study habits
- Answering student questions and guiding them through class assignments
- Conducting review sessions before exams
Completion of CRLA-certified tutoring training
Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and hours worked
Other duties as assigned by the Tutor Coordinator

Minimum Requirements

Proof of understanding of course material, evidenced by a minimum grade of B in the course (or equivalent coursework) for which you will tutor
A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
