Senior Content Developer - High School & College Mathematics

We have ongoing needs for part-time contributors to the development of our educational materials for a variety of programs. Working under the direction of a Content Director (or one or more full-time members of the Product, Publishing or other relevant teams), a Senior Content Developer will act as a primary subject matter expert in one or more specific content areas relevant to The Princeton Review and Tutor.com’s services. A Senior Content Developer will participate in activities such as authoring, editing, and proofreading materials, which may include books, tests, practice questions, syllabi, and lesson plans in digital and print formats. A Senior Content Developer may also participate in activities such as the recording of video lessons, reviewing or testing online educational products and data entry using a variety of online systems, including ones that are proprietary to The Princeton Review and Tutor.com. A Senior Content Developer will be responsible for delegating work to other part-time Content Developers and managing that delegated work to completion.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary subject matter expert in high school and college-level mathematics, contributing to relevant projects 10-20 hours/week.
  • Coordinate with full-time members of various teams across The Princeton Review and Tutor.com to manage the efforts of approximately 5-10 part-time Content Developers.
  • Organize, create, review, and edit math content, including course outlines, texts, and syllabi, for academic materials and/or other products and services of The Princeton Review and Tutor.com under the direction of the Content Director.
  • Deliver the highest quality materials and resources on schedule and budget to support overall company goals for the academic success of our instructional content and customer satisfaction with our instructional methods and programs.
  • Communicate consistently and promptly on progress of project(s), including projects and other types of work happening through teams across The Princeton Review and Tutor.com.
  • Attend weekly progress meetings and participate in trainings and workshops as necessary.

Education, Background, Experience & Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in teaching, tutoring, training, or content creation of high school and/or college mathematics.
  • Experience with the production of digital and print learning materials, including textbooks, tests, and online lesson presentations, both live and pre-recorded.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and organizational skills with proven track record of managing multiple projects and tasks efficiently and simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a remote/distributed environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a related area, or equivalent real-world expertise, with preference for relevant advanced degrees.

COMPENSATION:

  • Pay: $40 per hour
  • The company does not provide benefits for this position
