About the Role

A US-based independent film development team is seeking an experienced screenwriter/consultant with deep knowledge of Thailand, particularly Pattaya, for a coming-of-age drama screenplay. The project explores themes of cultural immersion and business relationships through the lens of a recent American graduate's experiences in Thailand.

Responsibilities

• Participate in 3-5 virtual consultation sessions (1-2 hours each) to provide authentic cultural insights and location-specific details about Pattaya
• Review and provide detailed feedback on early screenplay drafts, focusing on cultural accuracy and authenticity
• Assist in screenplay revisions to ensure accurate portrayal of Thai settings, customs, and social dynamics
• Provide guidance on local film industry connections and potential distribution channels

• Must be currently based in Thailand or be of Thai origin with extensive experience in Pattaya
• Proven track record in screenwriting or film development (minimum 3 years experience)
• Deep understanding of both Thai and Western film markets
• Previous experience in script consultation or development
• Strong knowledge of Thai culture, customs, and social dynamics
