Bioinformatics Intern
Twist Bioscience is offering an internship opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students with a strong interest in data sciences, bioinformatics, and electronics. The intern will work on a project involving data analysis pipeline for DNA Data Storage synthesis quality control workflow.
Skills
- Familiarity with Python, R, or Rust in a Linux environment
- Interest in NGS data analysis, manipulation, visualization skills, and presentation
- Basic understanding of molecular biology
- Strong programming skills, experience in Python or C++ preferred
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement a data analysis pipeline for DNA Data Storage synthesis quality control workflow in nanopore sequencing devices
- Provide statistics, data analysis, and visualization to support pipeline results
- Contribute to the design and testing of DNA chips and related hardware
- Perform data analysis and interpretation to support ongoing research projects
Education
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Statistics, or a recent graduate
Benefits
- Base cash compensation in the San Francisco Bay Area Pay Range $25—$25 USD
- Eligible for bonus, equity, and a generous benefits package
