Bioinformatics Intern

Twist Bioscience is offering an internship opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students with a strong interest in data sciences, bioinformatics, and electronics. The intern will work on a project involving data analysis pipeline for DNA Data Storage synthesis quality control workflow.

Skills

Familiarity with Python, R, or Rust in a Linux environment
Interest in NGS data analysis, manipulation, visualization skills, and presentation
Basic understanding of molecular biology
Strong programming skills, experience in Python or C++ preferred

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement a data analysis pipeline for DNA Data Storage synthesis quality control workflow in nanopore sequencing devices
Provide statistics, data analysis, and visualization to support pipeline results
Contribute to the design and testing of DNA chips and related hardware
Perform data analysis and interpretation to support ongoing research projects
