Lead Cybersecurity Researcher

Skills

• Proficient in programming languages (Python, Java, C/C++, Go, Rust)
• Knowledge of cybersecurity tools (Nessus, BurpSuite, Wireshark)
• Experience with various operating systems (Windows, Linux)

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research on network operations, tools, protocols, vulnerabilities, and TTPs
• Develop custom tools, software, and platforms to meet specific customer needs and requirements
• Create novel, defensible, and repeatable assessment methodologies to determine risks to business units, infrastructure systems, missions, and assets
• Lead research initiatives focused on cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, system assessments, control system vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and prototyping solutions
• Lead and mentor teams of diverse subject matter experts, ensuring effective procedures and processes for assessing risk, vulnerability, and system resiliency
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to establish trust, rapport, and repeat business
• Oversee a project portfolio, ensuring projects are executed on time, under budget, and with 100% customer acceptance
• Advocate for customer funding to address shortfalls in planned cybersecurity research

Education

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Networks and Security, Computer Engineering, or related field, plus 5 years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree with additional coursework and at least 7 years of experience in cybersecurity
