About the RoleUber Eats is looking for a Strategic Operations Senior Manager to manage the strategy and implementation of long term growth plans for our largest Grocery and Retail partners on the platform, ensuring strong long-term ROI on programs for all parties involved. This operations role calls for a combination of creative problem-solving, operational optimization, data analytics, and project management. Strong communication skills are required as this role will be externally-facing at times. You should be comfortable in an "all hands on deck" environment, enjoy solving problems and thrive in a startup environment. You will work cross-functionally with other teams and external partners to launch and grow this new arm of the Uber Eats business.What You'll Do• Build: As we grow grocery on Uber Eats, we will work to bring more opportunities for merchants to invest in their business on Uber Eats. This role will be responsible for owning the demand generation strategy for our top merchants for the US and Canadian grocery, convenience, alcohol and retail businesses.• Analyze: Quantify everything you do. Utilize data-driven decision making to understand business trends and craft your recommendations to senior leadership and external partners.• Test and improve: Create and execute the roadmap for improving return on investment and growth for both the business and our top merchants through methodical testing and learnings implementation.• Turn strategy into action: Program manage all aspects of creating value for top merchants to incentivize investment from them• Collaborate: Work with internal and external stakeholders to create new ways for merchants to grow on the platform and maximize their growth dollars, understanding how the marry the goals of Uber Eats and the merchant for mutually-beneficial programmingBasic Qualifications• 5+ years of operations, business/ general management, growth operations, strategy, planning, management consulting or similar experience• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Strong analytical skills and the ability to tackle problems logically; Data-driven approach to decision making and sound business judgment to determine project performance and financial viability, grounded in analytical thinking• Bias toward action and master simplifier - constantly pushing toward alignment, clarity and execution on tight timelines• Phenomenal collaborator and someone who proactively partners across teams• Self-motivated, works independently and possess strong organization and time management skills• Creative approach that enjoys experimentation and is willing to take bold bets despite risk of failure• Strong communicator, especially with external partners or clientsPreferred Qualifications• Management consulting, marketplace growth operations, or strategy work in a large business (3+ years preferred)• 1+ years of client-facing experience• Proficiency in Excel/ Google Sheets, SQL preferred• Experience managing small teamsFor Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$112,000 per year - USD$124,000 per year.For Miami, FL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$112,000 per year - USD$124,000 per year.For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$124,000 per year - USD$137,500 per year.For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$124,000 per year - USD$137,500 per year.For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp.
