Develop and implement a strategic sourcing plan for cloud and AI solutions that aligns with Uber's business goals and objectives. Identify and evaluate potential vendors and solutions in the cloud and AI space, considering factors such as cost, quality, and compatibility with existing systems. Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure the best possible pricing and terms for Uber. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and legal, to ensure successful implementation and integration of cloud and AI solutions. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in cloud computing and artificial intelligence to inform sourcing decisions and drive innovation. Monitor and track vendor performance, identifying and addressing any issues or challenges that may arise. Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, serving as a key point of contact for all cloud and AI sourcing matters. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, providing updates and recommendations on cloud and AI initiatives and progress. Drive cost savings and efficiency improvements through strategic sourcing initiatives. Act as a subject matter expert on cloud and AI solutions, providing guidance and support to internal teams as needed. Collaborate with other strategic sourcing managers to share best practices and drive consistency across the organization.
